Is there something fundamentally wrong with putting game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals on in the background as I write a paper which argues that hegemonic notions of 'Canadian' identity and nationalism ignore the pluralistic realities of the many regions in our society...when I only tuned in because a Canadian team was playing?
